Krypto the Superdog

This drawing I is one of the few colored drawings that I have made. I made this for my High School art class. I was looking through the DC Super Hero Encyclopedia and I came across Krypto. Using the drawing in the book as a reference, I began drawing him. I originally intended to make a drawing of Superman but I couldn't get him to come out right.

I used graphite pencils and colored pencils.

What bothers me about this drawing is his head and body don't seem to be going in the same direction. His head is looking to the right but his body is going to the left. His right shoulder I don't know how I ended up making it look bulky and muscular. I can't tell whether it the drawing benefits or is hurt by it, but I was pleased with the finished artwork regardless.
